Mirador House/Lot C
Premise
The client for this house in the Four Corners area of Colorado has three major requests: a place to view the stars, a place for all of her books and objects, a central kitchen as the heart of the house. The idea of visible storage developed into the two principle axes, with the kitchen as a hinge point. Personal space for the client to work and sleep grew off of these axes, while the view to the stars rotates from this hinge point at the rear of the house to an external spiral stair and light metal deck viewing platform or mirador.
